My senior BFA exhibition. ‘Proof’ was inspired by the process of sending and receiving proofs for print. It is also the last step before releasing final work into the world just as this exhibition was seen as our last step before graduation. I helped create the invite and poster design from this concept.
It was the first time the program ever had a show only consisting of women. This was an important aspect to us since it only made us closer. To show this importance without making it the full focus, we decided to include a photo of all of us. We also chose bitmap to keep the connection to the printing process.
Since this show was personal to all of us, we each created our own pattern.
When the invite is in the transparent envelope, only our image and patterns are visible. When the invite is pulled out of the envelope then the word ‘Proof’ is revealed.
