Financial Literacy

Collaborative design for Western Michigan University. A game that teaches college students how to budget and prepare for their financial future. There are 30 boards in total to cover all possible expenses one might have. The game was placed on large double-sided sandwich boards so it can have up to 200 players.

The students are first given a career with a salary, possibly a spouse and kids so they can learn to budget accordingly.

They then have the option to choose between a ‘Frugal’ ‘Moderate’ or ‘Lavish’ lifestyle with each board. As they go through the game they will see where to spend more and where to spend less.
